Nancy Young | Southern Ute Shared Services About In 2004, the Southern Ute Tribal Planner began documenting information for Tribal Council to determine the need for a Multi-Purpose Building and Chapel. Information such as interview comments, use for the proposed facility, facilities comparison, site characteristics, and recommendations to develop a design committee was gathered. From the information collected between 2002 to 2007, the Tribal Council acted to appoint a design committee to begin the design process in February 2007. September 2007 Tribal Council approved the schematic design. The Multi-Purpose Facility and Chapel were opened in December of 2010. It is with great pride and recognition of all the individuals who made this a reality for the Tribal Membership to enjoy this facility, today and for many years to come.
